Barkers Ridge Swim Team (BRST) offers a community-focused, family-oriented swim experience that balances recreation with competition. Our goal is to educate both children and parents about competitive swimming in a positive and enjoyable environment. We emphasize good sportsmanship and encourage every swimmer to reach their fullest potential.
Our success relies on dedicated swimmers, supportive families, and passionate parent volunteers, along with a skilled and caring coaching staff. Life as a Marlin: The Ultimate Summer Swim Experience
Being part of the Barkers Ridge Swim Team (BRST) means spending two months of your summer in a fun, supportive, and energetic environment where swimmers of all skill levels come together to improve, compete, and build lifelong friendships. During the month of May, we practice after school. In June, we practice in the mornings, which are filled with practices led by experienced coaches who focus on technique, endurance, and sportsmanship, all while keeping the atmosphere positive and encouraging. Throughout the season, swimmers compete in four exciting meets against local teams—two at home and two away—providing the perfect opportunity to showcase their progress and support their teammates. At the end of the season, all swimmers participate in the Meet of Champs, where top performers earn a chance to race in the prestigious All-Star Meet, highlighting the best of the best in competition.
Parents & Guardians: We Need You! Your support is essential to making our season a success! There are many important roles to fill to ensure our swim meets run smoothly. We truly appreciate your time, effort, and dedication to our swimmers and coaches—thank you for being a vital part of our team!
